Stock Trading FAQ

Q: What securities does the Grail Indicator work on?

A: The Grail will work for any instrument you can find a symbol for. If you do not know the symbol code for your favorite stock, index or other instrument, each page has a link to Yahoo where you can look up the symbol. Click here to try it. It works on European/UK stocks too - for example 'VOD.L' would be Vodafone on the London Stock Exchange. If you enter a symbol and can see a chart, then you can also see the 'performance' record for that symbol over the last 50 days, which will help you determine how good the Grail is on that symbol (usually pretty darn good!).

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: What does it cost?

A: You can use the free parts of the site as much as you like, free. To conserve server resources for our paying members, the free charts are delayed by a day, and occassionally the free server will refuse to show you a chart, as the number of free users allowed to be online at any one time is limited. Members suffer no such limitations. If you want to know the actual formula used, and extra information such as our very own stop loss strategies, money management and so on, consult the ebook.

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: Does it work on Forex instruments / Options / Futures / Spreadbets?

A: It basically works on everything thats liquid. We only show online charts for the symbols you can find (see the first FAQ!), so if you want to track something else, your best option is to buy the ebook, and plug the formula it discloses into a spreadsheet, then cut'n'paste your price data in to see what signals it generates.

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: Why do the charts sometimes not show signals when I know they were there yesterday?

A: If the signal 'aborted' the next day (i.e. went thru the stop loss position), we don't bother showing it. If it didn't do ANYTHING the next day, we DO tend to show it, because the signal is technically 'valid' until it is either replaced by a new signal, or 'Aborted'.

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: The stoplosses seem a little 'large'.

A: The 'stoploss' figure on the chart is actually the 'abort' line. If price crosses the abort line before the 'go' level, forget about this particular opportunity and start looking for another. If you want tighter stops, you could purchase our ebook which explains a few handy strategies that have been tried and tested, together with tons of other useful tips for trading the Grail.

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: Does it work with Australian / Belgian / Indian / Swedish / Russian Stocks?

A: Use the symbol lookup feature. Australian stock are of a form like AAC.AX where the '.AX' bit tells you its Australian. Other exchanges have other extensions (e.g. London stocks end in .L). Supported Exchanges are here.

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: I used your contact form to ask a question, but you haven't replied.

A: The email address you supplied was invalid, and our reply to you bounced back. Or your question is already answered here. AOL and Hotmail accounts are particularly subject to aggressive bounce backs, as they seem to have their own list of 'banned' servers.Where possible, try using a 'real' email account, or put tradestars.com on your 'white' list!.

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: What time do the symbols update?

A: The system is global, tracking thousands of stocks from numerous exchanges around the world. Data for each exchange tends to update shortly after midnight local time.

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: I have other questions not listed in the FAQs, including 'what is the formula for the grail' and 'when do I exit a trade'. How can I get them answered?

A: Consult our e-book 'Trading The Grail'

Stock Trading FAQ

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: The free charts seem to be a day out of date?

A: To conserve resources for our paying members, the free charts are delayed by a day, and occassionally you will get a 'server busy' error. These restrictions don't apply to members. To become a member, you need to buy the ebook 'Trading The Grail' .

Stock Trading FAQ

Q: Is this the same as Click Volume?

A: We are nothing whatsoever to do with 'John Evans' (AKA 'Shiraz Lakhi') or his clickvolume.com website. Although it would appear that his click volume system is a watered down version of the Grail, with the hopeful addition of some volume metrics (a pointless exercise, of course), we can make no question as to the usefulness of his system. Oh, except to point out that we STILL get emails from dissatisfied 'Champion Trader' customers of Lakhi, who think we can help them get their money back from him. We can't by the way.
